Erlend Tait studied Drawing & Painting at Grays school of Art and graduated with BA Honours in Fine Art. Following this, he worked as a stained glass artist in Edinburgh where he designed and restored windows in historic buildings throughout Scotland. This time spent learning the ancient techniques of glass painting and staining has informed his approach to painting.

In 2005 he returned to the Black Isle with his wife, the artist Pamela Tait, and now exhibits his drawings, paintings, and stained glass throughout Scotland and abroad.
